Between the 27th and 29th July 2018 seven members of North Wales Police will be participating in the UK Police Unity Tour for the very first time. They will be cycling approximately 210 miles over the 3 days from Police Headquarters, Colwyn Bay to Bromsgrove, where they will join 500 riders from forces across the UK. On the final day they will all ride together to the National Police Arboretum in Staffordshire for a memorial service.
They will be raising money for COPS (Care Of Police Survivors) who help the families of Police Officers killed in the line of duty rebuild their lives. Each rider will be issued a blue memorial bracelet inscribed with the name and information of a Police Officer who died in the line of duty, which they will carry to the finish line.
This promises to be an amazing event and the team are keen for one last push to sign up more riders to join them in July. Whilst there is a requirement to be fairly ‘bike fit’ they will be riding together as a team and will not leave anyone behind.
The cut-off for entries is Wednesday 13th July. Contact the Federation office for further details.
